HELP ! Just removed a very old stinky cat urine stained carpet from my hallway, only to discover the urine has soaked straight into the concrete and won’t come out and its stained and foul smelling like a dog kennel. Tried bleach, pine sol, but none works .. in fact it’s making it worse. Me and my pets are getting sick from the fumes! how can I remove this smell ASAP , safely ? should I cover it with newspapers in the meantime ! I can’t take the smell it’s getting into my clothes and giving me migraine .. I can’t imagine how my babies feel .. HELP .. I need to get this handled immediately, with least amount of fumes from chemicals .. SOS .. ughhhhh

I would try hydrogen peroxide. Have to say this is just a guess, but it will kill the bacteria causing the odor and has no smell itself. You may need to treat more than once but you can buy this at any dollar store.

Also, there are products specifically made for urine odor, very expensive and some are effective, check Amazon or hardware store cleaning section. I found that pet stores charge much more for them!

Paint area with kill paint for concrete it cured my issue on a plywood piece. I totally get it the smell is awful but we inherited from the old owners who replaced the carpet but didn't paint the floor. It didn't smell and I am very sensitive to smells. I hate to say this but chances are that this isn't the only place if the smell is that strong.
