How do I remove the residue adhesive from self stick tile .
I am removing self stick tile from a linoleum floor. What can I use to wash the linoleum floor with that would remove the leftover adhesive. Thanks so much!!
Use a blow dryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive and peel off.
First of all, if your floor was installed in the 1980s or before, it’s safe to assume there is asbestos in your tiles. I remodeled our 1950's kitchen and just covered the tiles with new tiles. If you don't disturb them, you will be safe.
Don't worry at all about asbestos being in your tiles. Even if it were it is hardly a death sentence. Good grief people worry so needless sometimes! We used an iron with a cloth on the old tiles to loosen them. Worked like a charm.
