We have had hardwood floors in our 7 different homes and have used a lot of HW floor products over the years. We stopped using the steam mop when it started blistering off the finish at the seams on a new traditional oil based sealed oak hw floor installation.
The past two years we have been using the BONA mop and solution and we’re very pleased with the results.

Rejuvenate makes a product and so does Rustoleum - called Transformations.
Hi Margaret,
Click on the link below to read how to rejuvenate old hardwood floors from This Old House. This something that will probably last longer than a Bona fix. (BTW, we do use Bona) Check it our along with other products suggested by others and decide what you want to do. Wishing you the best.

I also use Bona to clean them and Rejuvenate for a wax!
They make a special cleaner for wood floors that they call a refurbisher. I got it at Lowes and it worked really well
