Will it ruin my laminate floor if I clean the with my carpet cleaner?
I meant to say clean the rug on the laminate floor with my carpet cleaner. Would this damage the laminate?

No, it won't work though. Carpet nap sits much taller than linoleum. You'll just be left with a mess and your floors will not be any cleaner. Youd be better off with a scrub brush on your hands and knees
I think the water and steam from a carpet cleaner may be too much for a laminate floor. I would use a pad mop and floor cleaner. I am also partial to getting down on my hands and knees and scrubbing the floor with Mr. Clean and water.
