Getting rid of mold on table pads......... help!?

My basement flooded in June. My mom and dad's dining room table custom-made pads were in a box in my basement. They were "hidden"! I just found the box yesterday and the pads are moldy. Very sad!!! :-( Is there ANY way to get rid of the mold? Or do I have to trash them? thank you so much.

You might try a soaking with white vinegar, let soak for an hour, then a scrub with dawn dish soap using a relatively soft bristle brush...Start with back of one to make sure it doesn’t bleed colors..no guarantee it isn’t already permanently stained from mold. good luck..

Thanks....... but I can't "scrub felt" without it tearing I don't think. will use vinegar with the clove oil. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Oh Dear! Leave it alone! If this is black mold, once it is disturbed it goes airborne! You need to find a mold specialist to find out if you have a big problem or it is the harmless kind.

There are kits you can get at Lowes to test them. Keep away from them until you can get an answer!

To be on he safe side, I would do the testing to make sure you did not get exposed to that dangerous kind of mold. If you are allergic, please consider just discarding these items and not taking a chance!! You can always us place mats and extra care for a table!

Maybe Pinesol. I used it on our vinyl siding and diluted it, worked pretty good.

Given how unhealthy it all could be I would toss them.
