How can I clean the cup holder of my sectional leather sofa?

Ihave a sectional leather sofa in tan color. But one of the cup holder and storage from the leather sofa is ugly. And would like to fix that part. It looks black and dirty. I tried cleaning it but i dont want to break the leather. Any tips on how to clean my couch?

I just roll up a hot wet sponge with cleaning solution, and stick it and roll in around, rinse and repeat til clean.
I used alcohol to clean my leather couch. One of the kids had a pen and got Ink all over it. I used cotton balls an dab it on an kept doing it until the ink was gone and then used mothers conditioner.
soak a rag in soapy water and stuff it into the dirty holder; move it back and then let it soak for 15-20 minutes before removing the rag and rinsing the cup holder out.
