Hi there Lori, this article will show you how to remove those stains - https://www.cleanipedia.com/gb/floor-and-surface-cleaning/how-to-clean-faux-leather.html
William's advice is excellent and may work very well. Just be careful not to scrub to hard as it is faux leather and the surface can be damaged rather easily and the "bonded" leather may separate.
Question, Lori - does the footstool go with another piece of furniture? If not you could dye it a different color.
Sounds as though you really have a tough stain here! I found a few more sources of info although I can't personally vouch for any of them.

GOOD LUCK! 😎
Try oxiclean!!!!
I use automotive care kit for my leather furniture if I need a quick fix. You can try soapy dish water (with blue dawn). My favorite of all is Leather Honey cleaner & conditioner.
Try using some nail polish remover. Won't harm the pleather
Try liquid hairspray. It will take ink off clothing and almost anything, so it may work with a food stain since it's on this kind of material. Spray it directly on the stain. I am almost sure Nail Polish remover will work, but being faux leather, I'm not sure if it will eat into it. If you resort to that, I'd put nail polish remover on a cloth then rub..... don't put it on the leather.
Thanks Tegma, I did try hairspray, no luck. I will give the polish remover a try on a hidden spot.
If the stain has gone into the leather, you may have to touch up the leather. A white shoe polish will work
Have you tried calling the dry cleaner? They may have a suggestion or a treatment, since the faux leather is used on a lot of garments.
No, but that's a good idea, thanks.
Try some Clorox s cleanup or jently use comet on a wet sponge it doesn’t scratch
Thanks, I did try the Clean up, it didn't hurt it but it didn't work either so I will try the Comet, 🙂
Dab some lemon oil
Will do!
I had ink on a vinyl couch. I read somewhere to clean stains on old vinyl dolls to put an acne solution that has benzoyl peroxide on it and let sit then clean. If really bad then put the solution on and sit in the sun to help lighten the stain. I tried and it got pink highlighter mostly out and the ball point pen. Good Luck!!
Wow, that's different, but I will try it, thank you. 🙂
Amazing from Dollar Tree .. it really removes all
Thank you, I will try some. :)
Have you tried saddle soap?
Nope! :)
Hello, Try Wet Wipe or magic sponge.
Hello again,
You could also try Barkeepers friend. When you give up all the suggestions, give it a good soapy water wash and then clean water rinse. When dry, if there is still a difference in that square of fabric, try using an acrylic paint mixed to match the colour. best wishes.
Hi Lori, Mix equal parts vinegar or alcohol and water. Dip the cloth in the mixture. Blot the stain. Repeat using a clean area of the cloth
hope this helps you out
Hi Lori, this video will help you clean those food stains - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GinZdOAZXr0
I had white leather furniture at one time and used this mixture.
One part Castile soap and 8 parts water.
