How to refresh sofa cushions without using fabric refresher spray?

Hi Lana, If your cushions are removable, get a strong plastic bag large enough to hold the cushion and be able to close. Put a dryer sheet under the cushion. Put your vacuum cleaner hose directly in the cushion and tighten the bag around the nozzle with your hand. Turn on your vacuum. If you have a good seal, your cushion should go flat. Hold it there for about 15 to 20 seconds to get out all the dust and debris then turn off the vacuum. Open the bag and they will bounce back and not only look refreshed, but they will also smell refreshed! For longer freshness, keep the dryer sheet under the cushion when you put it back! Use a new dryer sheet for each cushion.

Hello Lana; Baking Soda is very useful for this, as it will remove most smells and it truly leaves a nice scent on Sofa cushions, pillows, Etc.

You can sprinkle 20 Mule Team Laundry Borax on the couch using a glass jar, and poke lots of holes in the lid. Sprinkle on and leave 3 hours, then vacuum up.

I use Baking soda to refresh my carpets and vacuum cleaner. Dont't see why it wouldn't work on your sofa

Lysol Disinfecting Spray and leave outside all day on a sunny day? The sun naturally will get rid of some smelly germs. I took cushion covers off my daughter's microsuede couch and pillow covers and washed on delicate cycle with regular detergent. Didn't phase them. If you can't do that, maybe try sprinkling baking soda on them, vacuum off after awhile to let it absorb odors.

That's all I got.

Dust with baking soda (dry) . Brush in flip cushion do same to other side . If possible take cushions outside in the shade. While cushion ar outside. Sprinkle rest of sofà with soda let sit for about an hour. Then vacuum up soda. Check for freshness.

Buy a couple of boxes of Carpet Fresh for Pets (Arm & Hammer) at the Dollar Store and leave it on for a couple of hours, then vacuum. It really does get the smell out and makes it easy to vacuum fur off of furniture from pets.
