What can I use to clean the drawer pulls on my bedroom furniture?

My bedroom set is solid cherry  purchased in 1964.  It's in excellent condition but the handles on the drawers have turned very dark.  I would like to get them to shine again.  Thank you.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nicole on Rehab Addict boils them in an old crockpot. Of course, you can't use it to cook in again.

To clean wooden hardware, such as knobs on a drawer, spray the knob with a solution of water and vinegar or water and gentle cleaning solution.

2. To clean brass knobs, hinges or pulls, use a brass cleaning solution or make your own from vinegar and baking soda.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I used both the vinegar mixture and brass cleaner and lots of 'elbow grease'. Took a long time to get it clean. I have 21 drawer pulls to do, I'm 75 years old so hopefully I can get them all cleaned before I turn 76. Thank you for all your answers, I greatly appreciate it.
