Wax on my dresser

I think I have read a solution to my problem, but I cannot remember! Hot wax spilled over onto the top of my bedroom dresser. How do I remove it without too much damage to the wood? Please help!

Use the hair blower in very hot blow over the wax and when begin to melt clean it with a cloth, in this way you do not will make damage to the wood.

I would put down a couple of layers of paper towel and try ironing it up with the iron set to low temp. Good luck

try with newspaper and a low temp iron. Once the paper starts to get wet change out and repeat the process until it is maageable enough to gently scrape off the excess then clean with a good furniture cleaner/

I've used brown paper bags instead of newspaper, but slowly removing with an iron usually will do the trick - this also works on carpet and fabric. The secret is to not get the iron too hot.

I had several good ideas from Hometalk members! I think I will be using an iron on low-temp. with the either the newspapers or brown bags. Thank you all for your help!
