Have you tried Murphy's OIl Soap and a Magic Eraser?
Restore-A-Finish will take it right off. Available at hard ware stores in colors for all woods. Rub on with a soft cloth in direction of the grain. Wear gloves it will stain your hands.
Bucket of warm water, 1/2 c vinegar, 1/2 c Olive oil (must be Olive oil), wipe cupboard down, dry with clean towel. Best wood cleaner I have used for years, good luck!
