Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Dampen a soft cotton, lint-free cloth with the solution and use it to wipe the surface of the table to break down and remove the wax buildup. Follow the grain of the wood with each stroke.
Try a Mr. Clean eraser sponge. I thought they were b.s. but how wrong I was. They have worked on stains that i haven't been able to get. I've tried so many cleaners that its kinda ridiculous. These sponges have worked on my ceramic stove top. Its now free of the dull marks on burners, no streaks, the burnt food and the dark rings around burners... Gone! The hard water marks on faucets, streaks running down freezer door from the ice maker, even the black marks on my white truck that I have scrubbed and scrubbed are now a thing if the past. Try one if you haven't already. That $1.00 sponge will amaze you and definitely save you money on unnecessary and often expensive cleaners. Hope you find a solution. Let me know how it goes!
I used scrubbing bubbles to clean my kitchen cabinet doors once because I didn't have another cleaner and I thought I ruined them! It took off a lot of the surface. Maybe a quick spray and scrub?
