My kitchen cabinets are embarrassingly greasy. Please share your degreasing tips with me so I don't have to cringe every time I glance at my cabinets.
white vinegar and water 50/50 and a dab of blue dawn dish soap.
Mineral spirits, then clean the spirits off with a clean damp cloth.
Someone earlier suggested using dishwasher detergent, which ought to work well,as it's designed to break down organic materials.

A few years ago when we purchased our pre-owned home I ran into this problem. An elderly lady lived in the home we purchased and she was unable to properly clean the cabinets in the kitchen. There was so much grease built up on the kitchen cabinets (which by the way, are solid wood and were hand made by the lady's husband) that I was using a putty knife to try and get the buildup off. I tried a steam cleaner, a vinegar, water, and dawn solution, Lysol bathroom cleaner, pine-sol, Murphy's oil soap, and anything else I could think of, to no avail. After purchasing a spray bottle of Goo Gone to remove labels I thought to myself "why not?" nothing else had worked. I sprayed the Goo Gone on a test spot and with a soft cloth rubbed in a circular motion. To my amazement the grease came off! Now when I want to clean my all wood cabinets I grab my Goo Gone and go to town on them.
