Best Tip For Keeping Glasses & Goblets Crystal Clean

Do you have glasses or crystal in your cupboard that have a foggy film on the surface, and it doesn’t come off with soap and water? Check this out!

I have (had) several glasses with this problem, and I always got so frustrated when whatever I tried didn’t work.

Dish soap. Nah.

Lemon juice. Nah.

Clorox. Nope.

I even tried windex and white vinegar because those two products are recommended for everything.

Not even close, Bud.

But then I found a tip while thumbing through one of my decor books, of all things, that had this great tip and recommendation. Talk about a tip that would most likely never come to my mind. When I read his tip, I ended up re-reading it about a thousand times. Seemed wicked odd, but also made sense at the same time.

The answer is Efferdent. That’s right. The stuff for dentures. Like, who knew?? But makes sense, right? Think about it; denture cleaner is designed to clean and remove stains and film from false teeth. Why wouldn’t it clean and remove that stubborn film on glasses and goblets.

Here is the best tip for keeping glasses and goblets crystal clean!

Fill a large container with water, and plop in a couple tablets of Efferdent (or any other denture cleaner). Put the glass items that need cleaning in the container, making sure the items are completely submerged.

Efferdent and forget it – for about 3 hours.

When you pull the glassware out, wash with a gentle dish soap and see how they sparkle!!

Ingenious! Ingenious, I tell you!

I did not scrub one iota. I literally put the glasses in the container with the Efferdent and water, let them sit. I pulled them out and, seriously, they looked like new. Now, I must tell you that although this is a wonderful fix, some glasses may need to go through this process again down the pike. They may just be the kind of glass that attracts said unwanted film. But hey, with a quick and easy tip like this, no biggie. Efferdent and forget it.
