If you are like me and happen to own white ceramic dishes, you might be aware of how easily they become scuffed up. This usually occurs when metal utensils rub against the ceramic coating.

Seeing my nice ceramic dishes and bakeware looking so poorly is not pleasant and can be frustrating especially after you try so hard to scrub the scuff marks out.

After doing a little research I stumbled upon a product called “Bar Keepers Friend” and thought I would give it a try. This stuff works so well, with very minimal scrubbing!

If you want to renew your ceramic dishes and get them looking new again, read below to find out how.

I have a whole cupboard full of white ceramic dishes and bakeware that are in need of a little facelift, but these three pieces were the worst.

You can see the dark marks all over the insides of the bowls and especially on the spoon rest.

You can use the cream or powder formula of Bar Keepers Friend. I prefer the cream cleanser as I find it less messy.

All you need is a small

amount to get great results! Squirt some of the product directly onto the piece you will be working on.

Using a paper towel or very soft cloth gently rub the product into the dish in circular motions. You want to be very gentle when you do this, as it is an abrasive product and you don’t want to ruin the finish on your dishes.

Once you have gotten out all of the scuff marks rinse and wash your dishes very well in hot soapy water.

I am so happy with how these pieces turned out. The results are not 100% perfect but a whole lot better than where we started. There are only a few small scuffs left that were too stubborn to come out. Maybe if I scrubbed them longer or harder, but as I mentioned above I did not want to ruin the finish on these pieces.

Now to tackle the rest of the dishes in the cupboard!

I’m a big fan of Barkeepers Friend. I’ve kept it under my kitchen sink for years. Glad you thought to let others know what a great product it is.
