I've tried several DIY solutions I've seen on home talk, but none have worked well. I should just throw it away but it's one of my favorites!

If you used spray on non stick such as "Pam", you may never get them completely clean, despite hours of scrubbing. Better to line pans with parchment paper (which can be wiped clean and re-used, when baking cookies), or purchase baker's silicone pan liners. These are terrific! No mess, easy clean up! Available at Costco, via Amazon, or at cooking stores.
