With all the natural cleaning ideas I have not seen anything for cleaning a toilet tank. Please advise. Baking soda and vinegar?

Last thing at night put a box of baking soda in the cistern. Leave overnight. The next day the bowl will sparkle. I have done this when I have moved into a house with disgusting toilets and the result is brilliant. It did take a while and a lot of flushing for all the old build up to flush away but the end result was just fantastic.

You can just sprinkle baking soda (bi-carb.) on the toilet bowl, and scrub with a toilet brush. You may have to do it several times, but don't use too much at any one time. I've also used baking soda for weeds-just put a small pile on a weed, and it will eventually die. If you want to clean your drains inside and out, try a handful of baking soda, then follow up with a good glug of cleaning vinegar. It will froth up and go foamy-you can follow with boiling water if you wish. A lot safer than all the caustic products you see at the supermarket. If you wish to buy more than a small packet of b. soda go to a swimming pool shop. They sell it for helping to keep chlorine swimming pools clear. Gabrielle from Australia
