Getting glue off the windows

5 years ago I placed lovely stick on (not see through) decorative plastic on my bedroom window, it's pretty big. Part has become warped in the hot western sun. I peeled off one strip but can't get the glue off the window now. I've tried glasex, lemon grass oil, alcohol, all to no avail. I'll never cover a large window with this "removable" self stick plastic sheets again.

A glass scraper would do the job if the glue is hardened. If its a bit sticky try acetone

Use a Widget, it is a little scraper that you insert a single sided razor blade in,, it works wonders on glass.

@Corrine E Shirley Corbin believe it or not mayonnaise works as well. I have used this to remove adhesive on jars. Spread on the area - wouldn't do a large area at once. Let sit for a bit and then with a hat wet cloth wipe away. Goo gone is also good on all adhesives. If it is a large window you will have to work on it section by section regardless of the method you choose. Be patient.

3M make a product called "General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner". I don't know how I came by this spray can. I have had it for years and still use when stubborn adhesive won't come off. You make want to Google it to see where you can buy it. It works wonders, but it has strong smell. Good luck.

Might spray PAM on it too. Works like Goo Gone but cheaper and stay where you put it better. Might have to use hair blower too to get adhesive to release.

Have you tried Goo Gone? It should take care of it but if not, there is a Gorilla product but be careful. It has a tendency to remove paint too. I would stay with Goo Gone and maybe a little light sanding (by hand) where the sun has warped the stuff.

I have a product called Un-do that I use in crafting. It's in a bottle with a scraper attached. You apply right on the sticker plus a little of the surrounding areas and then it should scrape off. I usually purchase mine in the craft stored.
