I have some very used cookie sheets. Would like to clean and save them if possible. Are there any good cleaning techniques?

I use baking soda made into a paste and a piece of scrub pad and lots of elbow grease to clean mine from baked on grease over the years

I have taken them out in the yard and used oven cleaner on them before. It makes them look like new. Be sure to protect the grass or whatever surface you are working on.

Unless they are non-stick or you want to preserve the shine or patina, Put through a self clean oven cycle. When cool wash with regular dish soap and dry thoroughly. You will be startled at how clean they will be

@Teri Reynolds The best method I have used, and it's very easy, again for non-stick, is a 50/50 combination of baking soda and vinegar and aluminum foil. Make a paste with the b.soda and vinegar rub it all over your pan, let it sit for at least 15 mins and then scrub with a crumpled up strip of aluminum foil . Rinse and enjoy. It did wonders for mine/ I hope that helps. :)
