It looks like I've used Comet or Ajax on it and there are remnant of it on the sink. Any ideas on how to clean this off? Thanks
Cleanser called Bar Keepers Friend is wonderful
Try using isopropyl alcohol 91%.
i use Clorox Gel spray Cleaner. It cleans my sink white as can be and no abrasives. You just spray it on. Let it sit for a couple minutes, a little wash and rinse your sink. White and clean and disinfected also.
Magic eraser or Bar Keeper's Friend
You might try placing a paper towel or rag over the area and wet it with chlorine bleach -- the paper towel or rag is simply to hold the bleach in place. Anytime you handle pure chlorine bleach, you should wear both eye protection and clothes you don't care if get splashed with bleach (creates white dots). You shouldn't fill the sink with bleach or it will discolor your drain.
Bleach works for me - try a magic eraser first though.
