How can Mod Podge be removed?

If I put decorative paper on a painted bedroom closet door with Mod Podge, how could I remove it if I need to?

I think you'd probably need to use a chemical stripper, like if you painted it and needed to remove the paint. Mod Podge is pretty durable stuff.

In my experience working with mod podge, it seems to be water soluble. For a flat vertical surface like a door, you can spray a section down with water and place plastic wrap over it so the water won't evaporate before it has time to do it's job.
