All great tips. I agree with Naomie. If they are rare DO NOT TOUCH them. They lose 70% of their collector value.
If you are cleaning them for a project, try Bar Keeper's Friend. But if you are cleaning them for a coin collection, DON'T! They will lose value if they have been handled or cleaned.
