How do I remove black yuck out of my shower door.. ..
The white lining/grout/rubber stuff around the wall of the shower door has black specks on it. No matter how hard I try to scrub it it doesn help or it comes back.
Here is a tip for our new new shower curtain or liner. Wash it before first use in your washing machine - vinegar rinse, no fabric softener, less prone to mildew and mold in the future.
For the current mold, do the same thing, wash on delicate cycle, warm water, toss in a handful of Epsom salt, use vinegar in the softener cup. Hang up damp in your shower to dry. Works for plastic as well as fabric.
Put it the washer with some detergent and Clorox bleach.
Use bleach then wash it off
Put it in the washing machine with hot water - it will come right off
you can use the dryer on low to dry it... and just a FEW minutes on medium to de-wrinkle... don't leave it... it only needs to warm up.
wash it with bleach in the washing machine and re-hang it too dry
When all the mold is gone then be sure to close your shower curtain so moisture doesn't get trapped in the folds causing more mold.
Give the curtain a quick shake or a couple of whacks with your hand to remove excess water.
Put in washer with soap and bleach. air dry.
do not use bleach.Wash the curtain with white vinegar and baking soda
