Try a solution of Clorox and water. I don't know how big the area is, but for a gallon of a 10% solution you'd put about 12 ounces of Clorox in a one gallon container then fill with plain water. You will probably want to use a sprayer. Or you can mix the gallon and pour some into a small regular spray bottle and just refill whenever you run empty. It SHOULD kill mold but wear protection in case it's something harmful. You can get various types of filtering masks online at websites like Amazon. They're not very expensive and certainly worth more than your health! Good luck and be careful!
Try a mix of water and mild bleach. Wipe up until it is gone. Use rubber gloves. Be sure you have good air circulation too, and run a fan if you have one.
After cleaning with bleach, spray with vinegar, to keep mold spores from resurfacing. If applying to concrete walls, rinse with light spray of water after 15 minutes, then dry with a fan. Sounds as though you need to run a dehumidifier set no higher than 40%. Let it cycle on and off as needed.
Increase air circulation in your basement. If you hang laundry, run the dehumidifier. Keep doors to upper floor and garage closed when dehumidifier is in use.
If too many items are stored in basement, it's time to purge. Carefully check any fabrics, paper boxes, etc. for signs of mold, also.
Plain old vinegar. Vinegar kills the mold spores, bleach does not.

Hi Brenda - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
