How do I remove hair spray residue from a painted wall?

    Try mixing fabric softener and water into a spray bottle.Lightly mist and wipe off,shaving cream,or alcohol and a little water. I would test in a small area first.

    Try a Mr. Clean Sponge! It seems to clean everything. Warm water also.

    Isopropyl alcohol mixed with water in a spray bottle. Spray on wall, wipe down with a damp sponge. Works every time!

    I just use Lysol wipes...we use them all the time on kitchen sink, table, have them in bathroom and use constantly and will wipe my hairspray marks off with these on painted walls.

    Shampoo...the same brand that washes it out of your hair.

    clean with vinegar and h2o half and half good luck

    I would use alcohol mix like Trish mentioned.

    I would try a mild soap and warm water...the same things that remove hairspray from your hair. I never use isopropyl alcohol or vinegar to wash my hair
