When my husband replaced our toilet, I noticed rust stains toward the back of the toilet. I have tried using SoftScrub and CLR to no avail. Please help! Thank you.

Try making a paste with baking soda and white vinegar.Let sit on the stain for awhile before you wash it off.

Also try barkeepers friend,it has the acid needed to remove rust. Make a paste and cover with plastic wrap to keep moist while you give it some time. Could take a few applications and scrubbing in between. Good luck !
  • I agree with the suggestion of barkeepers friend. Good luck!

Try WINK, found in the laundry detergent department. It has removed rust spots from any number of things in my house; clothing, counter tops, sinks. I would never want to be without this product. Good luck.

Not sure about linoleum, but I know a product called "Naval Jelly" works on rust - I bought a vintage cast iron sink at the local Habitat for Humanity for $7. Used the Naval Jelly and it looks like new. And it was REALLY stained....
