I am constantly cleaning my sink faucets. I get them to look clean and shiny and then the next day, those weird looking stains re-appear. Who knows of a way to properly clean a faucet? Thank you!

I use Norwex scrubbies and Norwex kitchen cloth to keep my taps clean. They look as good as the day they were installed

from the photo, it looks like the finish on the faucet has worn off, or lime scale is building up. if there is a small leak the calcium in the water will remain after the water evaporates. depending on the quality of the faucet you might have damaged the finish if you use a metal scour pad on it.

soak a wad of paper towleing in a lime away type product, wrap the soaked toweling around the the ugly spot. check it after 15 min., rinse and dry. if ugly spot is gone or reduced in size, that's a small leak.

Some people rub a piece of lemon, others use toothpaste with a soft cloth. Try applying some vaseline or petroleum gel on the taps, bars and other metal parts in the bathroom and sink area for a protective layer against stains and rust.

You can also try vinegar, 1 part to 3 parts water. Spray it on the tap or mirror, leave for about 15 mins then wipe off with a soft cloth.

I use windex on mine...just spray and wipe with a paper towel. If you have lime, soak a cloth in white vinegar and wrap it around the place where lime is....wait 15 - 30 minutes and wash off...should be clean.

Try saturating a paper towel or old wash cloth with vinegar, wrap it around the faucet and let it sit for 20 minutes or so, then just wipe off with plain water. and dry the faucet after use .

I agree with the tip on using car wax. Once you use whatever cleaning method works best for you, give the faucets a good coat of car paste wax (not liquid wax), let dry and buff to a shine. I do this on my bathroom counter tops & inside the sinks, too. Paste car wax is designed to repel water.

Bar Keepers Friend then keep a dry washcloth on the sink to give the faucet and sink a quick drying every time you use it. Will never have to scrub it clean again. Will look clean between disinfectings.
