How do remove the silicone glue from shower wall?

We used to have a 3 divider space saver unit in our shower used silicone glue that came in with it. One day the whole unit fell off. My husband doesn't want me to replace it :-( I loved it as it freed up the cluttered bottles in shower. I haven't tried anything to remove the silicone glue as I'm afraid to ruin the surface. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help.

I have one of those and I love it. It saves so much soap and shampoo! If you have tile, I would gently scrape it off with a razor blade/window scraper. If it's fiberglass or plastic, I don't know. The new soap dispensers now come with tape instead of glue! Tell your husband if you get a new one it will cover the silicone left from the old one!

I used the razor blade as I've never thought of it before! I gently scraped it all off except the residue. I am going to get one as I loved it how it freed up the corners of those big bottles! I will look and see if it got tape or silicone glue. Thank you.

Hi there, I agree with the first reply, a razor blade, a lot of patience and be very careful. But if you love the storage you should get yourself another one!

There is a silicone removal available at your hardware store. Works good for removing old caulk around your tub.
