Coca-Cola does contain small amounts of citric acid and phosphoric acid; however, all the insinuations about the dangers these acids might pose to people who drink Coca-Cola ignore a simple concept familiar to any first-year chemistry student: concentration. Coca-Cola contains less citric acid than does orange juice, and the concentration of phosphoric acid in Coke is far too small. By comparison, the gastric acid in your stomach’s digestive fluids is much stronger than any of the acids found in Coca-Cola. So now that we’ve cleared that up. A much better solution would be to place nuts and bolts in an empty water bottle. Pour a couple inches of apple cider vinegar in the bottle covering the items. Give it a good shake and let sit overnight. Rinse in the morning. Spray with WD 40 (dirty-but more common in Households) or garage door lubricant (my preferred because it’s clear and clean). That will coat them and help prevent future rust. I use the garage door lubricant in place of all wd40 projects. These two will also help remove rusty screws that wont come out.

Rust on glass? Or sediment? I use regular vinegar in my rinse compartment on my dishwasher. Never buy the store rinse. However often glasses get etched in the dishwasher. Minerals and soap permanently scratch the surface. I wash any fancy glass. I also use it in my rinse agent in washing machine. Not all the time there but sometimes I just dilute my laundry soap and dump in dispenser. Vinegar is basically wonderful 😊 Coffee pots....Not sure I answered your question?
