Lynda, Hello :) There are so many products on the market and everyone swears THEIR product is the best. Personally I have had nothing BUT success using MEAN GREEN on the toughest of stains, especially when I use a plastic bristled scrub brush with it. My sister swears by KABOOM and another sister said all she has ever needed is SCRUBBING BUBBLES. I remember my mom using a paste of baking soda and vinegar and letting it ist for awhile then using a scrub brush to scrub it off. I have no idea what, if anything, you have tried, but if it has been any of the above all I can say is I hope someone has an idea for you that will work ;) Thanks for using Hometalk for help.
Believe it or not you can spray some toilet bowl cleaner on it, wait and then brush off.
Hi Lynda - Great question and everyone has an answer. If green is the way to go, I would try spraying with vinegar, then sprinkle baking soda, let stand a while and then scrub with a sponge. If using chemicals is okay, then depending on what type of material the tub is made of, will dictate what cleaner you may want to use. In addition to the ones mentioned above, Bar Keepers Friend is good cleaner and is safe for many different materials as well comes in powder and a soft scrub. Hope this helps. Good Luck
I like to fill the tub to just above the ring and then add bleach to the water and let it sit for a few hours. I go back later and usually with a swipe, the ring is gone.
Comet and elbow grease.
Straight vinegar in a spray bottle works for me, but my bathtub only sees girlie bubble baths and random dogwashing.
