Buy brass cleaner.
LOL
I use Brasso. Works wonders. Better than any DIY mix.
The reason I asked it that I have heard otherwise.
Try ketchup. Wipe it on leave for 1 hour and rinse off. If not all off, repeat.
We always had great success using a product called Brasso. I don’t know if it is still available in your area, but we were always able to find it in the cleaners section of our local chain store market. If they had run out, we could always
find it at Savon, or Rite Aid. We also used Brasso to shine doorknobs, etc, when I was in the USAF. It’s a really good product, and I hope it’s available in your area. Hope this info is helpful for you.
thank you all!
Worcester Sauce cleans brass beautifully
Wow that's a new one, must be the vinegar.
Just a follow up. Bought some Brasso. Virtually all the home made concoctions worked better 🙄
