How do you clean plastic vertical blinds?

Any suggestions on cleaning plastic vertical blinds?

    soft rag a bucket of warm water and a pinch of Dawn dish soap

    Slightly easier if you wrap the towel/rag around a pair of BBQ tongs. One towel per side, you can wipe front and back at the same time for each slat.

    The plastic that these verticals is made from is terrible for attracting grease which, if it has been on a while, can be stubborn to get off.


    Unsnap the verticals and take them outside onto a patio, or if you do not have this kind of space, then in the bathtub. Dish soap is a good idea as it has a greese cutting ability. If there is a layer of crud on the verticals, to cut through and dissolve it, you will need to scrub with a non-abrasive sponge or brush.

    A couple of ideas for u: If u do not want to take them down i found baby wipes and Ponds cleansing towelettes work great. I have sprayed my kitchen ones with: Ajax degreeser dish soap mixed with water and seems to do great. Good luck

    BBQ tongs are great to use as a towel gripper to get your blinds clean!
