How do you get soap scum off crystal glasses?
Any ideas on how to clean cloudy wine glasses? They are made of crystal and are covered in soap scum.

Try soaking them in distilled vinegar. If you washed them in your dishwasher, you may need to reduce your detergent quantity and use a rinse aid, such as "Finish" or "Jet Dry"
Yes, white vinegar. And If they are truly crystal, do not wash in a dishwasher, ever.
Wipe or soak them using vinegar.
Hi Carol. I agree that good old-fashioned white distilled vinegar will clean the soap scum from your crystal glasses. They will sparkle even after the first time cleaning them. Good luck Carol.
Hi Carol, hope this helps you get your crystal glasses sparkling clean.

Nov 12, 2019 - Are you planning to pull your fine crystal stemware out of storage for the holidays? ... existing cloudiness and waxy residue, so the stemware gleams and ... water, a few squirts of mild dish soap, and two cups of white vinegar.
Best way as mentioned in previous answers, also keep your crystal out of the dishwasher. Glasses usually do not get dirty enough to put them in there, if you are concerned about making them sanitized, soap ( I use blue dawn) and water will do that in your sink. Air dry.
Is it actually soap scum or has the surface gone cloudy. Over a period of time the dishwasher will breakdown the surface of the glass and this does not wash off.
Hi! I used Lime Away... it really helped! If the glasses are real crystal, they should not go in the dishwasher. If we're talking about "regular" glass --- make sure to use a Cascade Power Pod... that took care of my issues! (...altho I'd rather just buy store-brand product... this IS worth it!)
Soak in white cleaning vinegar. That should remove any residue.
You could try vinegar or CLR but make sure it’s safe to use on crystal first. Test a small area.
Try Jet Dry or something similar in the wash cycle
