I have removed stubborn adhesive using WD-40.
Thats the old bulldog adhesive only good old fashion elbow grease , with a good hard scraper or you can purchase a floor scraper with long handle make sure you wear your PPE (personal , protection equipment )
turppintine and a good scrapper wear rubber gloves
Use goo b gone or goof off. Works great
