How do you remove rust from a bathtub/ resurface a tub.

Removing rust stains from a bathtub. Can you resurface a bathtub yourself?

    There is a new product on the market that Says it can restore the bath to new, but as far as rust goes, I would recommend CLR.. it will remove rust, lime, and calcium.. Sorry, I cannot remember the name of the other product, but it is basically a buffering compound that is used for fiberglass tubs. It even states it will remove cigarette burns, but I don't know...       @Marion Nesbitt You are very correct. It is very nasty in a closed space, and must have adequate ventilation. We were lucky to have access to a 4 season room, And no one was living there.. But it was beautiful when finished...

    There is a paint available for bathtubs.Check your local home improvement store.

    If you need to resurface your entire tub and/or tile call Miracle Method. It isn't inexpensive but it beats replacing them;. I had both tubs done five years ago and they are still in wonderful condition.
