A contractor named Andrew Mazur recommends using regular old acetone (as in nail polish remover) for small jobs becaue it will literally melt the adhesive. Then all you would have to do is scrape it off with a scroaer being careful not to gouge the underfloor. WOW! Just think if you combined THAT with the dry ice thing in the aforementioned weblink, it should all be fairly easy as far as removing adhesive backed tiles and tile adhesive is concerned. Well Claudia, that's about the best I can do for you. Thanks for using Hometalk, and Good Luck :)
I would use a Hair dryer
Turpentine will take it off very easily.
Try odorless paint thinner*/turpentine. (*cheaper)
