Another DIY option is to combine equal parts hot water and white vinegar. Apply the solution to the wallpaper adhesive residue on the wall using a sponge or spray bottle. Give the solution a few minutes to seep in. Gently scrape off the softened wallpaper glue residue with a scraper or putty knife.
Steamer, WD-40 or SoapyWater and a Scraper.
Make a mixture of plain white vinegar and hot water. Sponge it on and let it hang out there for a bit, scrape off with a plastic scraper.
White household cleaning vinegar and hot water and a few drops of Dawn dish washing liquid applied with a sponge to soften the glue. What doesn't come off easily can be lightly scraped using a plastic scraper. Be careful not to gouge the sheetrock while scraping. Rinse with clear water using a different sponge or rag and then dry the area as you progress using an absorbent towel or cloth.
