I tried the homemade laundry soap. Disaster. Felt like I was starring in an episode of ILove Lucy. If I end up using it, how much of the soap do you put in for a load of laundry?

I have an HE washer, and it takes only 1/4 cup per load. Works great for me

I use two heaping tablespoons; of course, I have a water softener, so don't need as much. I use the homemade dry laundry soap; don't like the liquid.

I have a top load and I use two tablespoons. I adjust the amount based on the size of the load and how dirty it is. 1 tbsp for small loads, 2 Tbsp for large and 3 tbsp for extra large or extra dirty. I'm sorry you had a mess making it. You really should give it a go. I've been using it for two years and I just love snickering as I pass the chemical laden expensive laundry aisle at the store. Not to mention lugging it home, lol!

I and my family are just tickled with the homemade dry soap! Which is actually a huge miracle because I have incontinence issues in the family, as well as animals, a fiance that is allergic to certain scents, & a nephew whose an athlete & is definitely going through puberty! Lol can't beat the price either!! Good luck!
