Black residue is mold. Clean with straight vinegar then rinse.
comet spray foam is my go to
The black residue is most likely mold that forms due to dampness. I have this problem from time to time and use a spray bottle with bleach to attack it. Wear a mask because the fumes can be overwhelming. Make sure that no towels are in the vicinity so as not to accidentally cause bleach stains on them. This should take care of the shower problem in just a few minutes.
