I use liquid Bar Keeper's Friend and a sturdy rag. Apply it, let it set for a while, then rub.

I agree with Jack, BarKeeper's is about the best, but almost any fine scrub abrasive product will do. I use the powder is my preference with a teflon type kitchen sponge or a cloth, then with a soft metalic springy scrungie for the tough spots, as it is less likely to scratch.

SOS or Brillo pads, steel wool pads with soap already in them, are great for cleaning pots and pans, stained sinks, hard to clean bath tubs, great for cleaning stainless steel pans.

On stainless steel Iuse a creamy amonia based cleaner spread over the affected area and left overnight. The next day I use a brush and and hot water. On corningware or glass I use a Brillo pad dampened but not too wet. Failing that carpet shampoo and ordinary steel wool.
