just removed the old formica countertops and replaced with quartz, so pretty. have always used vinegar to clean yet heard that is a NO NO for quartz so any advice. Also had old tile and carpet so removed and replaced with laminate wood looking floor. I have allergies and we have a Great Dane so less carpet the better. again used vinegar on tile floors yet do not know what to use with the laminate so any advice is appreciated. Thank you

You can use a small amount of vinegar and warm water. Damp mop only.

Hi Cheryl, (I have a sister named Cheryl :) )

Here's the floor, it looks pretty simple vacuum or use a dust mop. Not a broom, ever. Use something damp but not wet. You can add a little soap, but not much. Soap residue is the #1 reason laminate floors look dull. Polish with a dry cloth mop or just a rag.

According to several websites, water & vinegar are fine with quartz. Accepted cleaners are at the bottom. Notice under Spills - "Then the quartz surface should be cleaned with a household vinegar/water solution (always follow the manufacturer’s dilution instructions) or with a non-abrasive cleaning pad (such as a white 3M Scotch-Brite®)"

First congratulations on your new look! Vinegar is a no-no for marble. You can use vinegar on quartz. You can also clean floor with vinegar and water. For a shine use what the floor manufacturer recommends.

I have quartz counters and I just wash them down with my normal diluted dish washing liquid. As for your floor just use hot water and white vinegar. Be sure to extract all the moisture from the mop, don't use any soap products as they will give your floor a hazy look.

I looked on several web sites researching how to clean quartz counter tops. They all said to use household vinegar diluted with water. Use a non-abrasive cloth.

Clean your natural stone countertop with a mild kitchen cleaner.

    1. Make a solution of warm water and mild dish soap. ...
    2. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and wring it out until just damp.
    3. Wipe the countertop in small circular motions with light to medium pressure.
    4. If you encounter bits of dried-on food, apply more pressure.
