besides vacuming,maybe the wood need sot be sealed,however dog fur will always be a issue
If it were me, I would sand down enough to be cleaned easily. While I love the look, I have a bunch of pets myself and everything needs to be easy care, easy clean.
Good stiff brush and your vacuum are best bet.
Try using a shop vac. That's what I use to suck up dog and cat hair. Works great.
Vacuum
Try a wet n dry vac, the power should suck up the dust and hair. It might embedd in the vac filter, so think it over. Good Luck!
