I heard to use a bowl of used coffee grounds. Just set that in your car for a couple of days and it absorbs the nasty odors. I have not had a chance to use it in a car, but it does work other places.

Any dealership probably has an ozone machine that will work. Also changing the ac filter will make a difference.

I sprayed my car interior with white vinegar after a child vomited. Leave the windows open and the smell of the vinegar will dissipate.

I used a cup of vinegar, works great. Also cleaned the windows, cleaned the carpet with resolve carpet cleaner, and changed the air filter.

After you clean the car the windows, the leather, then use a ozone machine. You can rent them from a handy man company that rents equipment. Debra is right. But you have to get rid of the source of the smell first and that means cleaning it up and then using the machine.

I would suggest that you ask the seller of the car to see what he can do about it, or ask if he will discount it for you because of the smell. You could save a pretty penny in terms of finances if you can tell the seller where his car falls short. Unless of course it was a deal that you couldn't refuse! In that case. Baking Soda. Lots of it.
