I have a tub that is 30 years old. It is clean, it has some mild lime build up, but even afer I clean it, I still don't have that shiney look to it. Any recommendations on how to get the shine back?

Try using a lime removal cleaner first. Then see if this enough to restore to the natural shine.

@Thank You Janet Pizaro I will try using the lime-a-way stuff and see what happens. I know I have used it before to remove the lime and maybe it just keeps building back up faster than I thought. Thank you!

MR CLEAN Magic Eraser does wonders on old tubs. Spray with a bleach cleaner let soak and then scrub with the eraser. Looks shiny and new!!

I myself would try lemon juice first before using a lime remover. Calcium carbonate (lime) is easily dissolved by mild acids. I'd soak paper towels with lemon juice and apply to the areas of the tub with lime build-up. Check them after a couple of hours and if necessary, re-soak and re-apply. If the lemon doesn't work try something a bit stronger like vinegar. I like lemon because it leaves a nice smell.
