How to remove dried grout from the base of the toilet? and surrounding

    Hello Ruth, Is it GROUT around the toilet or is it plumber's wax or a white sealant? If it be plumber's wax or sealant you can take off the floor caps on each side of the toilet and loosen the bolts holding the toilet down, then use a putty knife and gently but firmly scrape off the dried wax or sealant, but if it is grout (as the grouting between floor and wall tiles) follow the procedure posted in the link below (you may want to have a friend or family member there to be available for help, either way, should you need it) :
