We are removing wallpaper that has been painted over in an old house, that has plaster walls. What is the best way to get the old glue off before repainting it. Thank you

I use a 50/50 mix of vinegar and hot water to remove wallpaper. I also use the same mixture to wash off glue residue with a sponge.
I use Dif wallpaper remover with hot water. Wash down with that then lightly sanding should do it. Plaster,is,do much easier than drywall.
