I got Thompson's Clear Water Seal on the cement fiber siding.
I got this seal on the cement fiber siding of my house. I tried to wash it off immediately with dish detergent and hot water, but it didn't completely come off. Can I still get it off without damaging the paint, and if so, what is the recommended solution?

I think you'll need mineral spirits to remove the sealer and it will also remove paint. Sorry, you'll have to touch it up.
Sounds like you did the right thing with trying to wash it off with soapy water. At this point I would contact Thompson's Clear Water Seal and ask them, have the lot number of the product ready if you still have the container. Also the cement fiber siding people. They both have hot lines for customer support.
References I have read say do not power wash your siding, be gentle with a soft brush or a rag, & do not let soap sit on your siding and dry out.

You may be able to get it off using a degreaser. If you know the company that made the siding, they can probably help you with some tips.
I would contact Thompson's. Here's the link:

It will come off by it self because it’s not made for cement by the end of winter next sommer it should be almost off so you could just leave it if you want.
Hello. You might consider contacting your sidings manufacturer for the best solution as-not to make the problem worse.
I have used Krud Kutter on my siding to remove paint and it works great.
I'd reach out to Thompson's, see what they suggest, or if you know who manufactured the siding, you could also try them or a similar manufacturer. The least invasive method is probably best so you don't damage the siding.
