I have a complete mess of cooking oil inside cabinet- help!

I agree with Janet, or maybe some white vinegar and warm water?

Use something plastic and scrap off as much as you can. Then soak some paper towels with Goo Gone and place it over the stains and let it sit for a while. Wipe off. Repeat if necessary.

All three of these response are going to work, but for the future make sure you line your cabinet with a shelf liner. Also, make sure your oil containers are not leaking or dripping (from pouring) before putting them away.

I agree with all previous suggestions, and a big YES on the shelf liner, makes life oh so much easier!

The same happened to me, once, on the plate warming drawer at the bottom of the cooker. I used soda crystals and it cleaned it beautifully. Sprinkle generously with soda crystals all over oil stains, leave to absorbe, then with wet kitchen roll paper or wet thin cloth towel, rub on and it will remove it. It worked for me.

After cleaning anand adfing helf liner, I lay a piece of paper towel just where oils will be. Then if it drops, I toss it.

Try Castille soap

Just FYI, the "soda crystals" Marina mentioned are called "washing soda" in the US. It's not the same as baking soda. You can find washing soda at the supermarket with the laundry detergents.

(I realize you may already know this, but just in case you didn't....)

Check with your local flooring store and see if they have any small rems of sheet vinyl to use as shelf liner. Cleans up like a dream. Don't use peel and stick-this leaves a sticky mess when they pop up.

I use the clear plastic boxes that store bought cakes come in and use them as a liner for my oil bottles. No more funky messes.

In future maybe a plastic tray or plastic lids underneath the bottles.

I leave a plastic bag tired around it as I use gallon size bottle. Dollar store sells a cleaner that will tackle almost any thing. I forgot name but its the stuff they sold on TV. I just know it when I see it. It comes in see threw bottle qt size. Use as is or mix with water. It takes off old paint.

I had small bottle of oil leak in my camping food box. The one time I didn't put it in a plastic bag.! I'll have to try this before the next camping trip.
