Try Baking Soda and White vinegar.

Using anything acidic may cause more issues.I would just use baking soda in a paste rub in to the area and leave on long enough to remove the stain. Then you can lightly rub Mr Clean Magic Eraser over and the stains should come out.

I would try BarKeepers Friend. Will not scratch or mar the surface and will remove the most stubborn stains. It is in a cardboard can where cleaning supplies are sold.

In India we do not get the items you have suggested. I will try getting the same online. Thank you so much

Marble is a very porous material so your stain has probably soaked in. DO NOT USE ACIDS like vinegar and BarKeepers Friend (oxalic acid). According to the Marble Institute the best thing for food stains is to wash with 12% hydrogen peroxide (this is hair dye strength). For other stains check their website http://www.marble-institute.com/consumers/stains/

Thanks Patti. Here in India we do not get the items you suggested. That is why I follow blogs with DIYs. That way I can do something about it. I'll go through your link and reply back. Thanks for your suggestion.
