You can use a mop head to clean the ceiling! That'll make it possible to reach the ceiling without breaking somethin'

I like Shoshana's idea to use a mop! If you still need some touch ups try Magic Eraser. Good luck!

When I smoked (20 years ago) I'd have to wash my bathroom walls and ceilings once a month - it was disgusting. I used a sponge mop and a general cleaner like Mr. Clean. That way I didn't have to rinse.

Thank You I never tried using pinesol or Mr. Clean I guess I would always use bleach cause I didnt think anyth else would cut through the grease and didn't want to have to go over it again I am going to try using Mr. Clean the next time I do my walls and ceilings thanks.

I use a damp dust mop with a removable, washable mop part.

Totally Awesome from the dollar store cuts grease better than most stuff. It is very, very strong smelling, though.

I would be careful with what I use as a detergent As most people use flat paint for ceilings and it rubs off.

Vinegar. Plain ol full strength vinegar in squirt bottle, use a toilet type brush and scrub. Makes quick work of it, removes all mildew, dirt etc, is non toxic and won't hurt anything it drips on. Plus the longer length brush handle extends your reach, gets in crevices and corners easily. Cheap, and the most effective I've ever used - and we get mildew due to our venting situation. The vinegar actually inhibits growth, slows it down immensely

im getting ready to paint and add some floating shelves to my mothers bathroom but before I do anything ive got to wash the walls and ceilings so I'm going to use this metho, I'll let u kno how it works. In the past when I've felt with mold I had found out that most products on the market has water in the solution n water feeds mold so YES I'm going to use it full strength straight out the bottle. Thank You again
